Christopher Allen Neal

Christopher A. Neal was born and raised in Oklahoma.  After earning his B.A. in Psychology, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Loyola University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana. Thereafter, Mr. Neal was hired to act as in house counsel for an international insurance company and relocated to Texas, which he now calls home.  Christopher A. Neal is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana earning him the title of “Tri-State Attorney”.

While attending Loyola, Mr. Neal was active in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and held the positions of Chairman of the Speaker Committee and President.  He was a member of the Loyola ATLA Trial Competition Team and a staff member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, Gulf Coast Regional.  Christopher A. Neal attended a summer at Loyola University School of Law / Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan where he studied the Japanese legal system, corporate and securities law and the licensing of foreign lawyers.

Mr. Neal is widely known as the “aggressive lawyer who gets results”.  He takes pride in handling each case with professionalism and providing an open line of communication with each client.   He handles business litigation, residential construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes and personal injury.
 
Mr. Neal is a member of the American Bar Association; Texas Bar Association; Tarrant County Bar Association; Louisiana Bar Association; Oklahoma Bar Association Insurance Law Section; Oklahoma Bar Foundation; Oklahoma Young Lawyers Association; North Texas Association of Insurance Counsel; Southwest Insurance Association;  National Association of Subrogation Professionals (NASP) as well as the Defense Research Institute.  In addition, Mr. Neal is a Regional Representative for the DRI Life and Health Newsletter; and past Vice-Chair of DRI Life, Health and Disability Committee; Liaison for the Young Lawyers Association and Author of: So What If I Did Not Read My Policy.

Christopher A. Neal is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts; all Oklahoma State Courts; all Louisiana State Courts; United States District Court Northern District of Texas; United States District Court Western District of Texas; United States District Court Middle District of Louisiana; United States District Court Western District of Louisiana; United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Northern District of Illinois.


James "J.R." Potts, Jr.

INTRODUCTION

J.R. Potts tested out of high school and began college at the age of 12.  He earned his undergraduate degree in biology/pre-medicine and psychology at 17. He earned his law degree from The University of Tulsa in 2000.  He is admitted to practice in both Texas and Oklahoma and is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association.

Mr. Potts is active with the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program and the Dallas Legal Hospice.  He has recently published an article in the Defense Research Institute Life and Health Newsletter on the appropriateness of rescission of a health insurance policy due to misrepresentations in the policy application.  This article arose from a case where  a Texas court of appeals sided with Mr. Potts’ reasoning in holding as appropriate the severance of an insurance company’s rescission counterclaim from the plaintiff’s breach of contract and bad faith claims.  In his free time, Mr. Potts enjoys working in his yard, cycling, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Potts practices primarily in the areas of general civil litigation, insurance defense, appellate practice, construction law, probate and estate planning and oil and gas transactions and litigation.  He has also practice in the areas of employment discrimination law, non-compete contracts and complex products liability defense.
